We founded our drywall contracting company more than thirty years ago. Whenever we had to install a ceiling, we worked with the tools and methods available at the time: offcuts of profile, bent by hand and fixed with anchors and self-drilling screws.

When we moved to F-47 profile, we understood that real quality comes from threaded rods. Back then the method was to run a nut onto the threaded rod anchored in the ceiling, slide on the profile we had drilled, bring it up to the nut, and lock it with a second one.

It did work, but it was unwieldy. You had to line up one component after another just to reach the moment you could let go with both hands, and every leveling pass meant loosening and tightening opposing nuts over and over until the height was right.

One attempt, cutting a standard flange nut a particular way, gave us exactly the result we were after. The concept worked.

From there we went to a workshop in Kibbutz Gonen. The nuts that came out of it, very close to the ones we sell today, did the job from day one. We have worked that way ever since, and we realized the system could benefit professionals throughout the industry.
